Sugar Syrup

1 c sugar
1 c water

Place both parts in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.  Make sure all the sugar melts then cool.  This can be added to the top of any cake, using a pastry brush, before frosting to give added moisture.  It will keep refrigerated for months. 

This is also good to serve in a small pitcher if you are serving unsweetened tea.   I've also mixed this in my homemade lemonade when bringing it in our 2 gal. cooler.
