Ginger Snap Cookies



Cream together:
¾ c. shortening 
1 c. sugar 
Add :
¼ c. molasses
1 egg
Combine in separate bowl:
2 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Add to shortening mixture, mix well.
Shape into 1” balls and roll in sugar.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes at 350 o

Serves 48 cookies

These are traditional Christmas cookies that we have made for years.  They are great under cooked slightly as they remain soft in the center.  Yummy with a cup of hot tea.
