Refried Beans



2 c. pinto beans, washed
1 T. Chili powder
1 T. Oregano
1 t. cumin
3 cloves garlic, crushed
6 c. water
1 T chicken bullion
2 tsp crystallized ginger, grated

Soak beans 3-4 hours.  Change water and bring all ingrediants to a boil and cook 2-3 hours or until beans are soft.  Drain, but reserve liquid.  Add beans to Bosch mixer and mix to the consistancy you desire, or mash with potato masher. 

Add:
1 c. grated cheese
salt to taste

Serve.

This recipe came from Dottie’s Kitchen Center.  It’s a good recipe if you have the time to make homemade refried beans.
