Classic Party Meatballs
Meatball, frozen Italian style, 6 #
1 (15 ounce +) jar SMUCKER'S® Concord Grape Jelly
3 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce
Cook on high heat for two hours, stirring occasionally. Lower temp
to low and cook for another 4 hours.
Thank you to one of the women at Trinity to generously brings these to our fellowship times. Everyone loves them, and I'm thinking I should learn to make them too :o)
On Allrecipes there is a lady who made these for a huge wedding party. She substituted 2/3 ketchup and add 1/3 chili sauce because of the $ factor. She thought they were just as good. (I may try this substitution) I did a side by side taste test along with David and the Heinz Chili Sause tastes almost exactly like Heinz ketchup, it's not as finely processed as ketchup but the flavor is the same.
Here's a couple variations on this recipe too:
add a small can of pineapple. or
add little smokies or kielbasa chunks
